“I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle this. Have a nice day.”

Princess vs Peril…
… is a blog run by a group of friends who wanted to see more inclusive discourse on their mutual interests. We were tired of reading reviews that didn’t address our concerns, or ignored potentially triggering content. Our goals are not to point fingers or blame any specific group for the problems in media and popular culture but to examine how and why these mindsets came to be and the effect they have in perpetuating problematic ideas.
Princess vs Peril works to be as inclusive as possible. We welcome and celebrate diversity, and strive to create a safe space where women, people of color, transgender individuals, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups feel they can read and discuss pressing issues in popular culture.
Princess vs Peril encourages respectful submissions from all individuals. We are currently seeking reviews and features. Want to share your passion for pop culture and changing the world? Contact us.
Donations to help with the cost of hosting and keeping the site loading quickly (and only these things, we promise) are greatly appreciated.
